EdgeIR™ – AI Ready Infrared Cameras

LightPath now offers EdgeIR, integrated AI hardware for all its infrared cameras. Utilizing Hailo-8 AI Accelerator with 26 TOPS, EdgeIR enables real-time, low-latency AI inferencing on edge devices. Compatible with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and ONNX, users can upload trained neural networks or use models like YOLOv5.

BD6 Infrared Chalcogenide Glass

LightPath’s BlackDiamond™ Chalcogenide glasses, produced in 120mm boules and expandable via proprietary molding technology, offer optimal infrared optical characteristics, maintaining refractive index consistency whether polished or molded. With a 10 metric ton annual capacity, these materials enable cost-effective precision molding, customizable properties, full IR spectrum transmission, high refractive index, and thermal stability.

LWIR Thermal Imaging Lens Assemblies

LightPath offers custom and standard Thermal Imaging Lens Assemblies (TILA) for MWIR (3-5um) and LWIR (8-12um) applications, utilizing materials like BD6 Chalcogenide Glass. With in-house glass manufacturing, fabrication technologies, and optical design, they provide AR, HDAR, DLC, and spectral filter coatings, tailored to meet specific requirements and environmental challenges.

Fiber Optic Collimators

LightPath Fusion™ Collimators and fiber optic assemblies feature proprietary fiber fusion technology, enabling higher-power use in pairing, targeting, or pig-tailing applications. Laser-fused directly to optical fibers, they eliminate interface issues like signal distortion and photo-degradation, ensuring stability in various conditions. Uncooled Broadband, 2-12µm Infrared Camera Cores

LightPath Technologies offers the Mantis, an uncooled infrared camera with VGA (640 x 480) resolution covering the 2-12µm range. It features color correction across wavelengths, eliminating the need for refocusing. Standard 19mm F1.1 and 75mm F1.0 lenses, with CameraLink video output, are available. Utilizing LightPath’s proprietary infrared glasses, Mantis captures both mid-wave and long-wave signals simultaneously, enhancing thermal imaging performance.
