Senior Sales Engineer – Optical Components for Defense and Civil Markets

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Sales Engineer with a solid track record in the optical components industry, serving both defense and civil sectors, to be a key contributor to our growth. This role promises exciting challenges in a vibrant and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
● Strategic Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, deeply understanding their technical and business needs and providing comprehensive solutions. Emphasis on ongoing collaboration with defense companies.
● Sales and Deal Management: Oversee the complete sales process, from identifying opportunities to closing deals, including preparing quotes, negotiating with clients and suppliers, tracking orders, and post-sale customer support. Achieve sales targets and grow business volume.
● Business Development: Identify new market opportunities for optical components, explore new target markets, and seek potential clients. Monitor technological and regulatory trends.
● Reporting and Analysis: Prepare sales reports, analyze data, and present insights to improve sales performance.
Qualifications
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electro-optics.
● An MBA degree is an advantage.

Experience:
○ At least 5 years of proven technical or sales experience in optical components or a related technology field.
○ Familiarity with optical component manufacturing technologies.
○ Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
○ Proven experience working with defense companies.
○ Skilled in complex negotiations with customers and suppliers, both locally and internationally.
○ Deep understanding of procurement processes, especially in the defense sector.
○ Project management experience – an advantage.
○ Experience with BI systems and reports.
○ Familiarity with Priority ERP – an advantage.

Skills:
● Sales Abilities: Excellent interpersonal communication, active listening, effective product and solution presentation, customer service mindset, marketing orientation, and business acumen.
● Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of optics, ability to read technical drawings, and understanding of technical specifications.
● Quick and High-Level Self-Learning.
● Analytical Skills: Data analysis, report preparation, and insight presentation.
● Teamwork and Independence: Responsibility, initiative, proactiveness, and efficient work in a dynamic environment.
● Ability to Work Under Pressure: Meeting goals, flexibility, and high motivation to succeed.
● English Proficiency: High level (reading, writing, speaking) – mandatory.
● Driver’s License: Required.
